Community Service at The Social
If you’ve been getting our emails these last few months, you’ll know how important community service is to The Social. Mike, our founder, is an active member of several community groups, and a few nonprofits use our space for meetings and other events.
If you’re looking for a way to become more involved in your community, we hope you’ll join us! Here are a few of the organizations that are near and dear to our hearts.
Front Line Foundation
Mike has been an active volunteer for the Front Line Foundation for years and is a current board member. He serves on the development and marketing committees for the organization, so if you’re interested in donating or serving, talk to Mike!
The Front Line Foundation supports the families of law enforcement officers, firefighters, EMS, and National Guard members who have fallen in the line of duty. It also provides scholarships for aspiring front line personnel and funds preparedness training for safety officers who serve in churches, schools, and hospitals. Get involved or make a donation at thefrontlinemn.org.
The Lions Club of Rogers
The Lions Club needs no introduction—it’s one of the largest service clubs in the world. The Lions Club of Rogers is one of the area’s most active clubs. It hosts Rockin Rogers Days, Breakfast with Santa, an annual golf tournament, and many monthly events. It also provides scholarships for local students.
While Rockin Rogers Day has been canceled for 2021 due to COVID-19, other events are on the calendar this year. Join Mike, a Lion himself, at an upcoming community shindig! Learn more at rogersmnlions.org.
I-94 West Chamber of Commerce
You may have spotted the I-94 West Chamber of Commerce board or other committees meeting at The Social. The Social is a proud member of the I-94 West Chamber, the fastest-growing chamber serving the northwest metro area. Hundreds of other businesses in Rogers and surrounding communities are also members, which makes it a great place to network. Learn more at i94westchamber.org.
