The Social Supports the Community: Rogers Lions Club & Rockin Rogers™

We work hard, we play hard, and we give back. The Social is more than just a place for business owners and other professionals. We’re a place where philanthropists and community volunteers can gather to make it happen. Community involvement is something Mike, the owner of The Social, strongly believes in. This month, we’d like to feature the Lions Club of Rogers Minnesota and their premier annual event: Rockin Rogers™.

Mark your calendars for Rockin Rogers™, June 20–23.

Rockin Rogers™ is four days of fun. There’s something for kids, families, and adults during Rockin Rogers™. Most events take place in the Rogers Community Center, but fun can be had across the community.

Thursday kicks off Rockin Rogers™ with the Gopher State Expositions Carnival and a beer garden. Both will be open through the entire weekend. Don’t miss a free concert with Shane Martin at 8! Friday evening has events for the whole family, including a tractor pull for the kids and an adults-only Johnny Holm Band concert, just $10 a ticket.

On Saturday, the Grand Parade starts at Rogers Elementary and travels up Main Street and across 81 to the businesses within the John Milless Drive circle. Arrive early to get your spot along the route. Don’t forget sunscreen!

After the parade, enter yourself and your family in the bean bag tournament or watch the coronation of 2019’s Rockin Rogers™ Days ambassadors. Saturday night, don’t miss Roughhouse opening for Hairball. You can purchase tickets on Eventbrite.

Sunday is your last chance to catch the Gopher State Expositions Carnival. Take your kids for one last round of your favorite carnival games.

You can get involved with the Lions Club of Rogers Minnesota.

Love Rockin Rogers™? Why not volunteer with the Lions Club? It’s one of the most active service organizations in our community.

Check out a dinner meeting the first Thursday of the month (except June and July) at 6:30 at the Rogers Community Center. Or, volunteer for one of their weekly events or annual fundraisers. Contact the club to get involved.
